How's it going, neighbors This is Ed here with etrailer.com, and we're taking a look at our Konig Easy-Fit Tire Chains on our 2023 Audi Q3. Today we have our tire size at 235/55R18 on the rear axle of our vehicle. You always wanted to make sure that you're checking the manufacturer's requirement as far as where you should install your tire chains, and you wanna make sure that they are compliant with the back of your area in your wheel well. Well, so with that being said, let's take a look at some of the features on these chains. So these are gonna have square links and a diamond pattern. What that does for you, the square links are gonna help bite into that deep snow and ice a little bit better, and the diamond pattern is gonna allow you to maneuver better in situations as far as curvy roads, when you move to the edge in between each of these links, they're actually little bars that are gonna help break through on the that ice. more

We have our tire chains installed on size 235 55 R 18 on the rear axle of our Audi Q3. You definitely want to make sure that you're checking your manufacturer's specifications as far as what will fit in your wheel well. These are not S-Class compatible chains. Today, we're installing on a 235 55 R18 tire on the rear axle of our vehicle. You definitely wanna check your owner's manual as far as clearances and what's allowed for your vehicle. And with that being said, let's take a closer look at some of the features. So our XG-12 is a diamond pattern chain, so that's gonna give you a lot more contours as far as traction on the sides for twisty, turny roads. So with this, that's gonna work in conjunction with the square links that you have here that's constructed of nickel-manganese steel alloy. more

Now, these particular chains are a diamond pattern with square link, and what that's gonna do for you is work for you in those light, icy conditions, not really for off road. What makes this as unique is the fact that you have zero contact behind your vehicle in a wheel well. So you don't have to worry about running into any interference behind the wheel. And it's raised up away from your rim, so you don't have to worry about your chains making contact. It is self-tensioning, and requires a little bit more setup on the beginning end, but once you have it set up at home, getting it installed on your vehicle is super easy. more

Our Glacier chains have a braided stainless steel cable that goes around the outsides of the tires, that's gonna go along the tire wall. It's also a braided chain that goes through where your rollers are connected. This style of chain is a ladder pattern. The rollers are usually used for light snow. more

How's it going, neighbors This is Ed here with etrailer.com, and we're gonna take a look at the Titan Chain Tire Chains on our 2023 Audi Q5. So our Titan Chains, these guys are gonna be twist link style, meaning that the links are twisted in a ladder pattern. So what that does for you, the type of terrains that you're gonna use these on, is gonna be light snow, mud, low traction, light ice. This is gonna be kinda like in between duty. Essentially, these are made out of hardened steel that's gonna give you corrosion resistance and additional bite into the ice and snow for additional traction. It's not included in the packaging, but it is highly recommended that you get one of these rubber tensioners along with your chains. more

So the servo chains are some solid tire chains for most type, most road conditions as far as ice, snow, mud, anywhere you would need additional traction. The design on these guys are gonna be a diamond pattern. Diamond pattern's gonna help you when you're going down more windy roads 'cause it gives you more traction on the side and middles of the tire tread itself. Speaker 1: Today on our 2018 Audi Q5, we're gonna be test fitting the Titan Chain Ally Snow Tire Chains, part number TC2317. The tire sets we're gonna be working with is going to be 235/55R19. Our D style links are gonna help offer us more traction, and because of their shape, they're gonna wear down more evenly, compared to your twist style links, so these set of tire chains are gonna last you a lot longer.These are our class S style chain, which means they're gonna be designed for a vehicle specifically with limited wheel well clearance, like our Audi Q5 right here.Unlike a lot of tire chains, where you might have to purchase a rubber adjuster for tension control, this set of tire chains comes with an integrated tension control, which is gonna keep our tire chains snug around our tire.This set of tire chains do have maximum speed of 30 miles per hour, and they do come in a quantity of two. Also included is this nice carrying case to use when you're trying to store your tire chains.One last feature about our tire chains is our color coded connection points, which is gonna make installing them a lot quicker and easier. Today on our 2012 Audi Q5, we're going to be testing the Glacier Cable Snow Tire Chains, part number PW2019C. Now, you see it's installed here. They're made out of a case hardened, low carbon steel with a spring roller over our cross cables. There's going to be a low profile design, and they are type S compatible as this car is requiring.
